Strengthening Ties with School Career Advisors Across NZ & Australia
At Future Leaders Academy (FLA), we are committed to creating life-changing opportunities for young leaders. To strengthen our engagement with schools and provide better support for career advisors, we are proud to announce our new and updated memberships with key Career Advisor Associations and Platforms across New Zealand and Australia.
Connecting with Careers Advisors to Support Student Growth
FLA is a recognised member of the Career and Transition Education Association of New Zealand (CATE NZ), the Careers Advisers Association of New South Wales and ACT (CAA NSW & ACT), and the CareerWise platform in New Zealand. These memberships allow us to directly engage with the career advisor community, ensuring that students across NZ and Australia have access to unique, real-world leadership experiences beyond the classroom.
Career advisors play an essential role in guiding students towards future success, helping them discover opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and aspirations. FLA’s international leadership programs complement these efforts by offering immersive, hands-on experiences that develop leadership, resilience, and global awareness—key attributes that top universities and employers are looking for in today’s world.
Why FLA & Careers Advisors Are a Great Match
Career advisors and FLA share a common goal: empowering students to step outside their comfort zones and prepare for their futures. Our international Student Leaders Program supports career development in several ways:
✅ Future-ready skills: Employers and universities value leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability—key skills developed through FLA’s experiential programs (ref: World Economic Forum, 2023).
✅ International exposure: Global experiences help students stand out and broaden their career outlook (ref: Education New Zealand, 2024).
✅ Real-world leadership practice: Unlike traditional classroom-based learning, our programs place students in real leadership scenarios, teaching them to navigate challenges and lead with confidence (ref: Harvard Business Review, 2023).
✅ Networking opportunities: Students connect with like-minded peers and mentors from different cultures, building lifelong friendships and career networks.
What This Means for Schools & Parents
With our expanded presence on these trusted career platforms, we can now keep schools, career advisors, and parents better informed about the life-changing experiences available to students. Whether it’s through CATE NZ’s school career networks, CAA NSW & ACT’s advisor engagement, or CareerWise’s digital reach, students will have greater access to exciting leadership programs that can shape their futures.
We invite career advisors, educators, and parents to explore how our leadership experiences can inspire students and set them up for success.
